Making sure you have clean gutters is an important part of keeping up with your home’s maintenance. Not having your gutters cleaned professionally and regularly can cause your gutters to pile up debris near the downspout’s holes on the top. When it rains, it can lead to an overflow of water falling out the sides of the gutter instead of through the downspouts as intended to. We have cleaned gutter in the past that have not been cleaned for years and this led to an unfortunate even where there was so much debris and mud in the gutters, that it simply could not handle the weight and it detached from the home and fell to the ground. You never know what is up there until you’re up there. We have cleaned out birds’ nests, branches, golf balls, baseballs, leaves, and pinecones.
When we get to your home, we inspect all the gutter for any previous damage or current repairs before we start cleaning them out. Once we are up there, we make sure to take a 5-gallon bucket with us so that we can avoid leaving any debris on the property. After they have been cleaned out, we then take up a garden hose and flush down your down spouts to guarantee a strong flow. This is probably the most important part of it all. Without doing this, the gutters will fill right back up with new leaves and branches within a few weeks. We also make sure we provide before and after photos for proof of labor.
One size does NOT fit all
We also provide a service called gutter whitening. Gutter brightening is when we wash your gutters on the outside. You may think that this is included in your house wash, but because it takes a different process to truly clean and whiten your gutters. Your gutters are more than likely made from aluminum. Aluminum does not wash the same as a vinyl or stucco home. We use a very strong cleaning agent that breaks down all the grime and gunk that have been stuck on for years.
We apply the cleaning solution via a commercial grade bristle brush, and we agitate the surface until they are bright and white. If you’ve ever noticed tiger stripes on your gutters after a house wash, that’s because they still have to be brushed and clean using the techniques mentioned before. We have whitened hundreds of gutters over the years, and it truly makes a significant and visible difference to your homes curb appeal as well as to it’s value.
